Hi, we are Andrea & Althea, twin sisters living in different countries.  As everyone knows, twins often share similar interests and it is no different with us.  We both love Siberian cats and love producing beautiful, healthy, fluffy kittens. We are working with our friend Joy on our combined passion!

My name is Andrea Gates and I’m located in Essex, England.  I studied animal genetics as part of my pre-vet program in my undergraduate degree.  Although accepted to vet school (in America), I chose to follow a  different dream and moved to England instead. I take courses to continue my education and help with my breeding programme. I love studying genetics.

Here at Qrios Siberians, healthy and socialised kittens are of the highest priority. I breed using the purest pedigrees coming from Russia preserving the old, traditional lines. I got my first Siberian in 1995. His name was Sammy Cat (below, as a kitten and an old man). He was only a pet, but he hooked me on the breed.

Although I am relatively new to the cat scene, I am not new to the art of breeding. I have been showing, judging, breeding and mentoring fellow dog breeders at the highest level for over 20 years. I hope to bring that wealth of experience and knowledge to my cat breeding programme. I have met so many wonderful friends through my dogs and am looking forward to this new and unique challenge, already having met some amazing people in Siberians the world over.

I am Althea Gill. I am a small, boutique cattery in Northeast Connecticut. I was first attracted to Siberians because of their dog-like personality and friendly nature. My family and I fell in love with my sister's first Siberian and we knew we needed to add Siberians to our family.

Our cattery is in our home where all of our breeding cats are first and foremost our precious well-loved pets. Our Siberians are reared in the comfortable, loving environment of our home and will adjust well to family life in their new homes.

We show all of our cats and breed from champion bloodlines so you only get the best in temperaments and conformation.  We DNA test all of our breeding cats and scan for HCM to keep them as healthy as possible. Our goal is to breed healthy, beautiful kittens with sweet and loving personalities; and to place our kittens in homes where they will receive the love and attention they deserve.

Cats have been great in getting us together more. I love visiting my sister's cattery in England and have become very proficient in importing happy kittens.
