This two year long intensive course licensed by the International Cat Union based in Moscow with individual online tutoring from the prestigious professor Natalia Kosareva. It focused on advanced genetics in coat colour and anomalies in
coat texture and skeletal development inheritance.
Course program consisted of: Basic concepts of genetics (genotype, phenotype, gene, allele, chromosomes, locus, dominance, recession, pure line), Tabby colors, Colors - black, blue, chocolate, lilac, cinnamon, fawn. Basics of the Punnett grid, the results of crossing solid colors, obtained using the Punnett grid, Point Colors, White color and colors with white, Red, cream, tortoise colors, Silver / smoke and gold. Chinchillas, How to recognize colors/ description of colors, Color codes, Anomalies in the development of the coat - hairless, rough coat, rex, Anomalies of skeletal development - bobtails, manx, folds, curls and Interesting recent developments in colors and in coat.

General Course 1

General course step 1, or G1 for short, is mainly about cat ownership. It is for beginners, but also for more experienced breeders who later want to take the higher courses.
The G1 course has the following content: anatomy, behaviour, basic information about food and nutrition, indoor cat versus outdoor cat, laws and rules regarding buying cats, how to find the right cat breeder, pedigree cat or mixed breed, contracts, safe environment for the cat, poisoning, litter trays and cat litter, neuter/spay, health checks, vaccinations, the elderly cat, parasites, common diseases and health problems, health programs, the pawpeds database site, cat breeds, cat colours, cat shows and breeding.

General course step 2, or G2 for short, is for more experienced breeders who later want to take the higher courses.
The G2 course has the following content: responsibilities of the breeder,
housing and care - laws, permissions and regulations, mentorship, breeding plan, choosing your breeding cats, owning a stud, owning a breeding female, birth control, basic genetics, color genetics, genetic diseases and defects, infectious diseases, mating, pregnancy, delivery of the kittens, determining the sex of the kittens, defects in the kittens, hand-feeding kittens, color determination, registration and certificates, development of the kittens, evaluating and selecting the kittens and selling the kittens.

As a breeder, you will learn information to share with new kitten families in your community; this series will provide crucial information for raising a kitten into a happy, healthy cat.
Some areas the sessions will cover: Selecting the right kitten, Preparing your home, Socialization, Understanding Behavior (environmental enrichment, appropriate play), Fear free handling (training techniques), Routine Vet Care (vaccines, spay/neuter), Normal Development (growth and nutrition) and Common Health issues.
